「暴龍雙衛」羅瑞與迪羅薩自2012－13球季開始合作以來，24日打出搭配4季最精彩的一戰，來的正是時候。他們同以超過6成的投籃命中率，合力攻下搭檔後最高的67分，率領暴龍隊在主場以105比99擊敗東區衛冕軍騎士隊，將東區冠軍賽扳成2比2平手。

暴龍隊挑戰騎士隊的東區王座，前2戰作客克里夫蘭，全隊打來荒腔走板，尤其羅瑞表現絲毫不見明星後衛身手，投籃命中率僅0.286，兩戰僅攻下18分。少了主力控衛的精采表現，暴龍隊苦吞客場2連敗，平均輸了25分。

正當外界一片看衰暴龍，認為「小皇帝」詹姆斯領軍的騎士將再度成為東區的「真命天子」，羅瑞有如跌深反彈，他在第3戰攻下20分，先率隊扳回一城，此役再猛攻35分，搭配迪羅薩32分進帳，一舉將系列賽扳平。

「每當有人質疑羅瑞，他總會立刻繳出精彩表現，正因為這樣的特質，讓他如今成為明星後衛。」暴龍隊總教練凱西強調，愛將總是用表現來回應所有的質疑，他說：「我看過太多次，他就是這樣的人。」

連同此役，兩隊本季7度交手，都是主場球隊奪勝，要在系列賽勝出，客場表現成為關鍵，而騎士隊掌握主場優勢，羅瑞賽後就說，主場有好表現是應該的，重要的是客場該怎麼贏。

騎士隊本季季後賽10連勝後，竟苦吞2連敗，但全場轟下29分的詹姆斯依舊對戰況充滿信心，他說：「我總是相信自己的能力，以及我能帶給球隊的能量，無論如何，我們回到主場要打得更好，而我相信如此。」
